Well, where to begin…..
I know what I find interesting, and therefore I know that inorder to have enthusiaism in my paper it would have to follow this type of topic:-
‘The Comprehenable future’
My basis for this paper is this: Future technolgies that we can imagine, no matter how crazy or seemingy impossible are actually plausable. I will concentrate mostly on the Movie industry, comparing wild science fiction ideas with our real technological breakthroughs.
For example – The film Bladerunner (released in 1982) contains a scence where star Harrison Ford uses a voice controlled computer to investigate in great detail a photograph, using his voice commands he is able to enlarge, and enhance sections of the image to which he discoverys clues. At the time of release the G.U.I would have had similarities to modern computers, however in the film the speech recognition is perfect in the respect that it understands every 3 word command. Of course this technology was actually in very early development, but from the movies point of view they expected voice recognition to be at this stage by 2019. Most modern commercial companies claim that recognition software can achieve between 98% to 99% accuracy if operated under optimal conditions. With the general increase in speech recognition and voice activated systems I feel that in another 12 years we could have progessed to a very close to that expected in Blade Runner, and I hope to be able to mirror that with other movies ideas and technologies.

I do feel that this topic might be a bit weak in the respect that it seems like im just trying to confirm that future technologies conveyed in film actually have a good chance of becoming real life tools.
